Identification of Requirements and Definition of Objectives
Definition of project scope, client requirements, production capacities, operational constraints and strategic objectives.
A service focused on defining the technical, economic and strategic feasibility of a project during its early stages, establishing the foundations and guidelines for subsequent development.
Conceptual Engineering represents the initial phase of industrial project development, where the technical and economic foundations required to determine project viability are established. At EIA21, this stage is carried out in close collaboration with the client, transforming an idea or business need into a structured and assessable technical solution. During this phase, the overall framework for all engineering disciplines is defined, including process, mechanical, civil, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, ensuring an integrated view of the project. The primary objective is to validate the project's technical and economic feasibility, establish design criteria and select the most appropriate technological solutions, providing the basis for basic and detailed engineering development.
Identification of Requirements and Definition of Objectives
Definition of project scope, client requirements, production capacities, operational constraints and strategic objectives.
Technology Selection and Design Criteria Definition
Evaluation and selection of the most appropriate technologies available, together with the definition of technical standards and the applicable regulatory framework.
Alternative Analysis and Preliminary Project Design
Development and comparison of different design alternatives, including preliminary process configurations, plant layouts and initial infrastructure requirements.
Technical-Economic Evaluation and Feasibility Assessment
CAPEX and OPEX analysis, profitability assessment and risk evaluation to determine project viability and support decision-making.
Conceptual Project Definition
Development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), material and energy balances, preliminary plant layouts, utility requirements and overall process definition.
A structured set of technical and economic documentation that supports project evaluation, investment decisions and the transition to subsequent engineering phases.
Document defining project scope, objectives, design criteria, evaluated alternatives and justification of the selected solution.
Representation of the main material and energy flows, describing the complete production process.
Initial plant layout showing process units, equipment locations and functional organization of the facility.
Initial equipment list and process description, including capacities, operating requirements and future expansion considerations.
Initial CAPEX and OPEX assessment, including profitability criteria and economic evaluation.
Preliminary definition of utility requirements such as power, water, air and associated infrastructure needs.
Phase 01
Establishes the technical and economic foundations of a project, validating feasibility and supporting effective decision-making from the earliest stages.
Conceptual Engineering is applied during the early stages of a project when feasibility must be validated before advancing to engineering phases that require a greater level of technical detail and investment commitment.
